Wondering where I’ve been? Well… I’ve been busy with a little project, pictured here 🙂 I wanted to take a second to tell you about all our upcoming FUN stuff BUT for anyone who who doesn’t know me already…
I’m George, owner of Lost Padre Records (and this is my daughter Mila!) We’ve got a lot to celebrate right now, besides little Mila, including one year of being at our Water Street location in Santa Fe (already!) PLUS we’re coming up on our FIVE YEARS anniversary!
Here’s a few things we’re doing to get back in the game this late Winter/Spring now that I’m sleeping a little bit more…
LIVE EVENTS— we’ve got 6 events on the books so far including: this Saturday’s FREE show at La Reina with Tucson’s Female Gaze & Nizhonniya; NEXT Friday the 17th we’re doing a little “happy hour” opening for our posters and memorabilia show ODDS & SODS at the shop; THEN Saturday the 25th we’re back at La Reina with Albuquerque’s BIG GIRLS & Luke Bern Carr! Â
In April we’ve got RECORD STORE DAY with DJs & a big sale on Saturday April 22nd; then it’s the return of NOLA punk favorites SICK THOUGHTS at Baby Grand and finally we’ve got CINCO DE EARL-O with Dylan Earl at La Reina on May 5th!
That’s not all– we’ve just printed the 2023 edition of the LOCALS ONLY card for our New Mexican customers. This year we’ve upped the discount so you get 20% off vintage media (vinyl, 78s, 8 tracks, reels tapes or CDs) *every Thursday* or $1 off any purchase of $20 or more any other day of the week. Stop by the shop and ask for your card any time!
One final note: we’re open 5 days a week for the rest of February: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Closed Tuesday/Wednesday. New arrivals go out every single day and new releases are out every Saturday! We’re buying & trading every Friday (or call for an appointment at another time) … and we’ll be back open 6 days a week in March!
